Before I go for it...

I know the CiN special doesn't really have an official title, but "Born Again" is my favourite of the several semi-official ones, so I'm using that.

Spoilers up to Sound of Drums, general refs to Torchwood. And a very unpopular opinion, which I should point out up front, I'm not mad at any of you lot over.

The Tenth Doctor spends most of the Christmas Invasion out of commission so that by the end, like Rose, the audience desperately wants him to wake up and rescue the Earth. I will never not be impressed by how well RTD pulled this off.

Having watched this episode numerous times, the one thing that always comes to mind after I've finished watching, is how well the were able to shift the viewer away from missing Nine to accepting Ten. It's something that, going into it, I thought would be an impossible task.

I was reading one of the other posts here about TCI and it made me think of the first time I watched it. Which wasn't nearly as soon as it should have been.
